Okay, it doesn’t show the performer from the most flattering angle, but I think the anonymity of the cover image on the first edition of Circus Mania creates a sense of intrigue. Designer Nick Pearson chose the image to convey the idea of “plunging into” the world of the circus, which is what Circus Mania does.
But in case you’re wondering who that is on the cover, it’s Denis Remnez, flying through the fountains of the Great Yarmouth Hippodrome.
